Executive expects busy six months

SEPTEMBER is going to be a big month for table tennis players in this country.

That’s when the 2016 domestic season will finally serve off and it will also mark the return of the Barbados team to the Caribbean Championships slated this year for Santo Domingo.

The new executive headed by president Edwin Jordan and secretary Marguerita Felix met last weekend and have quickly made plans to have the domestic programme back on stream.

Public Relations Officer of the Barbados Table Tennis Association Inc., John Pilgrim, told NATION SPORT, that players were short of match play.

“Little has happened this year in the form of play and we are keen to get the players involved. As a matter of urgency we would want to have our domestic competitions such as the A Class, Islandwide, and the club contests up and running. (MK)
