CHRIST CHURCH Foundation still hold supremacy in schools’ Under-15 netball.
In a repeat of last year’s final of the Barbados Secondary Schools Netball Championships, Foundation’s fans screamed themselves hoarse after their girls completed a 22-18 victory over Springer Memorial at the Netball Stadium yesterday.
Foundation led after every quarter and the victory was set up by the diminutive Chiara Chase, who netted 14 of her 24 attempts, while Briana Holder supported with eight of 17.
Foundation coach Sandrene Jordan said her team experienced their highs and lows on the court, which could have been due to the humid conditions, but she was pleased they emerged victorious.
“They started well, but then outside was so hot and humid and everybody’s netball went to shambles up to the second quarter,” she said. (RG)
