FIVE TOP players from the Tridents Pride of Barbados have missed most of the preparation for the upcoming Hero Caribbean Premier League, but it is not much of a concern for head coach Robin Singh.

With the quintet playing in The BallR Cup Tri-Nation Series that involved West Indies, Australia and South Africa, the Tridents only linked up as a full unit yesterday ahead of their opening match against Trinbago Knight Riders on Friday.

Asked if he would have preferred more preparation, Singh said it would have been a challenge, given the busy international schedule.

“If you look at most of the tournaments around the world, most of the contracts allow you about eight to ten days’ preparation. The guys who are already playing international cricket do not need to do much preparation. They need to fall into line with what we want to do,” Singh said. (HG)
