A SHAME AND A TRAGEDY.
That was how Senator Sir Henry Fraser described the present state of the Erdiston Great House which now houses Erdiston Teachers’ Training College in Pine Gardens, St Michael.
Addressing the Upper Chamber yesterday, Sir Henry was all but disgusted about the lack of attention being paid to the historic structure as he made a call to Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler and Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite to remedy the situation.
The Independent senator said December coming would be four years that the great house had been left abandoned and in a deplorable state. He explained that he was made to understand the reason it was in its present state was because the insurance was not adequate. (SDB Media)
