MINISTER OF FINANCE Chris Sinckler will take a seat at the negotiating table if it comes to that, so that transition to the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) by employees of the Customs and Excise Department is a smooth one.

And Sinckler is convinced his ministry will be closer to that controversial transition within the next few weeks.

He is also denying claims there is a stalemate between the ministry and the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) to have the matter resolved.

“As far as I know there is no stalemate. The process is fully in train on the major points we agreed needed to be looked at relative to issues on appointments, pension rights, terms and conditions of service and so on,” Sinckler told the SUNDAY SUN. (BA)
