THE ARTISTRY OF the Crop Over Visual Arts Festival is a sight to behold.

The 163 pieces which are currently on display at the Grande Salle at the Tom Adams Financial Centre form apart of the annual festival and represent some of the best Barbadians artists have to offer.

Last Sunday the entrants in the competition were awarded for their work and patrons got the opportunity to view what they had to offer. The pieces are about 21 sculptures, 51 craft pieces, and 91 two-dimensional artwork.

In this year’s annual competition there were 87 registerd entrants which was a marginal increase over the previous year. In the craft category which includes textiles, gourds and jewellery, there were 25 entrants. There were 43 entrants in the two-dimensional and 19 in the three-dimensional category. (TG)
