St Barnabas go one up

PINE HILL ST BARNABAS comfortably defeated Guardian General Pride of Villa to win the first game of their Division 6 first and second-place play-off at the Netball Stadium on Monday night.

In the first of the two-best-in-three series, St Barnabas inflicted a 28-15 defeat on their opponents.

St Barnabas goal shooter Tyra Holder helped her team to victory, netting 19 of 30 attempts and was supported by goal attack Shonica Griffith, who scored nine of 12.

St Barnabas started the match with their strong midcourt line-up working together to net four early goals before Pride of Villa could make their first move. (RG)
