“IF BAIL CAN BE GRANTED to someone who names [himself] ‘Lord Evil’, I see no reason why you cannot release Constable [Everton] Gittens on bail.”

Gittens, who has been charged with the March 15, 2015 murder of Selwyn “Blues” Knight and the shooting of his son Junior Knight while off duty at his home in Dash Road, Bank Hall, St Michael, remains on remand.
“I am glad you raised the issue of Constable Gittens,” Brathwaite said. “Notwithstanding the comments of the Prime Minister with regards to the granting of bail to murder accused, the fact is that murder accused are being granted bail in Barbados.” (RA)
