CYCLING has slipped a gear and needs a change in administration.
That call has come from a former Barbados match sprint and time trial champion and a member of the current national executive, Charlie Pile.
Pile told the DAILY NATION that the sport is at the crossroads and the time has come for embattled Barbados Cycling Union (BCU) president, Keith Yearwood, to walk away.
“It has reached a point where the sport has been suffering and will continue to suffer under the current leadership because there is a lack of confidence,” Pile said. “There are apparently personal issues between most of the cycling body and his (Yearwood’s) personality. (MK)
