THE MINISTRY of Labour, Social Security and Human Resource Development having received the judgement of the Employment Rights Tribunal in the matters of the National Conservation Commission versus the National Union of Public Workers and the Barbados Workers’ Union respectively, is currently studying the judgement.

This was revealed today by Acting Labour Minister, Senator Harcourt Husbands who noted that the Ministry was studying it and would soon issue a detailed statement on the matter.

The judgement was delivered today Friday in the Large Conference Room, Second Floor, Warrens Office Complex, Warrens, St Michael.

The Employment Rights Tribunal was re-established on February 1, 2015 with the objective of promoting “a good industrial relations climate in the country”.  Its functions are detailed at part three of the Employment Rights Act, 2012-9. (BGIS)
