THE SON WHO witnessed the brutal slaying of his mother and sister has forgiven the man who killed them – his father, the recently released Arleigh Hector James.

An emotional Ashley King said his sole reason for adding to the discussion since James’ release after 22 years in prison for the gruesome killings, was to “set the record straight”.

In an interview with WEEKEND NATION at the home of former teacher Patricia Corbin, where King lived for a little over a year after the attacks. He admitted his father was wrong but he wasn’t the only person who played a role in the deaths of Debra James nee King and his 15-year-old sister Sabrina Harrington.

For that, just as his father will have to live with his guilt, the others must too.

Growing up in Newbury, St George, King said that before lies of an extra-marital affair were fed to his father and caused a rift in his family, home life, though not perfect, was good. (SDB Media)
