JULIEANNE WEEKES was abusive to her mother Jennifer, her son Shemar and her daughter Kiendra Weekes, said her aunt Clarista “Mabel” Daniel during last week’s inquest into the death of Shemar Weekes.
Twelve-year-old Shemar Weekes is the focus of an inquest by Coroner Manila Renee into his May 14, 2015 death in a suspected hanging at Fryers Well, Checker Hall, St Lucy.
The hearing continues today.
Daniel, the mother of a married son and an autistic son, said that had she known the abuse would have ended in death, her great-nephew Shemar would be living with her.
His mother Julieanne is the daughter of Daniel’s deceased sister Jennifer and Daniel said she took responsibility for Shemar and, along with buying him things he visited and they would talk every Thursday. (AC)
