The number one seeds both won $400 each and claimed some huge glittering trophies, with Williams dismissing Monyata Riviera 21-9, 24-22 and Fanus stopping an aggressive Dakeil Thorpe 21-13, 21-19. Thorpe and Riviera earned $250 each.
Williams used her cross court drops shops with great effect as Riviera tried her best to keep her opponent deep in the back court to neutralise that drop shot. (KB)
