Walton Trotman is creative director/designer at Imperial Stylings
Are you where you’ve always wanted to be?
Yes; working for myself. I just need the money to catch up to the title and attach to the lifestyle.
What is your biggest professional challenge?
Capital and time management. Accessing capital with ease, and trying to do everything by yourself can be time consuming and limiting, and even if you are working with a plan, you can’t control others’ responses and actions to doing tasks.
What is your biggest life challenge?
Staying within societal guidelines. Even though I understand the balance which controlled guidelines bring, it can be hard to suppress yourself to do it if you are rebellious.
When you look to the future, what do you see?
My brand being fully established, distributed worldwide and worn by many.
What is your favourite pastime?
Drawing and riding bicycles.
What is your favourite meal?
Spaghetti and mincemeat.
On Saturday nights, where are you likely to be?
Home, most likely.
What upsets you the most?
Stupid people.
What is your guiding philosophy?
If you don’t design your lifestyle, someone else will.
If you had the chance to manage Barbados for a day, what would you do?
I would check through, revise and change biased guidelines, policies and procedures.
