Williams in 200 final

SADA WILLIAMS looks ready for another golden moment.

Barbados are in line to get their second ever World Juniors gold medal after Williams comfortably qualified for this afternoon’s final of the girls’ 200 metres at the IAAF World Under-20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

The former Coleridge & Parry schoolgirl turned Harrison College student won heat one of the semi-finals in an easy 23.35 seconds to advance with the second fastest time yesterday.

Running out of lane four, Williams got out to a quick start and quickly made up the stagger on the outside athletes before coming out of the curve with the clear lead.

She then powered away from the field prior to shutting down ten metres shy of the finish. (JM)
