QUEST2GLORY, a charity that was established just over a year ago, is pleading with the public to assist young athletes who have a desire to represent Barbados at the highest.

When the programme was launched last year the group wanted to bring awareness to nationals of the need for partnering with them to make some of the athletes’ dreams come true.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday at Lucky Horseshoe, Worthing, Christ Church, the public relations officer of Quest2Glory, Mike Cummins, said the charity’s immediate focus is to bring national attention to swimmer Danielle Titus and track star Ashley Weekes, who is also a swimmer.

“We have to raise $30 000 by the end of September in order for these athletes to attend training clinics and to gain much-needed competition on the USA Grand Prix Circuit,” he said. (JC)
