Hoopsters rally to force Game 3

THE YOUNG SCHOOLGIRLS came of age quite quickly.

Combined Schools Hoopsters are still in line for a historic league crown, having blown out Braddies Bar and Everyday Signs Pinelands 64-44 on Saturday to force a decisive Game 3 of the No. 1 Beauty Supplies and Beauty Exchange Women’s basketball finals.

It proved a rather fast and complete turnaround from their disastrous debut finals opener at the Barbados Community College, where the schoolgirls looked every bit of their age in naively giving up layups and open treys.

But Hoopsters kept tabs on Maria Cumberbatch this time, restricting her to just 12 points on two of 16 shooting after the speedy national player erupted for 32 in Game 1.
