BRIDGETOWN MARKET needs more activities to liven it up and attract more patrons.

And according to National Cultural Foundation chief executive officer Cranston Browne, this is exactly what it is going to get.

“I think we need some more events for Bridgetown Market; that is why we have the children’s park this year. Next year we will try to do more, maybe add some water activities,” he said.

Browne was not the only one with that view as many vendors also expressed similar opinions. Photographer/artist Rasheed Boodhoo said Barbados Light & Power Foreday Morning and Bridgetown Market should be merged.

“It should be that people can go from one to the other instead of getting run home. I really think the [NCF] could promote it better and have more activities to get people to come out,” he said. (CA)
