Day 2 spectators ‘welcomed’

WE WANTED SPECTATORS at East Coast to watch us jump.

That was the unequivocal message from Ryan Moseley, organiser of Day Two, the Kadooment-like event held yesterday.

Moseley, who is the managing director of DM Celebrations, sought to clear the air following some negative public reaction to the idea that access to the Ermy Bourne Highway, including the popular picnic spot at Barclays Park, would be restricted for the event.

“I saw it reported that we did not want spectators. That is not true. We wanted people to come and watch. The route is closed to vehicular traffic. That is the same as Kadooment Day. If you are not in the band, you cannot come inside the ropes, that is the same as Kadooment Day,” he said. (TSG)
