Costumes challenge

AN APOLOGETIC Amanda Reifer of the Crop Over masqueraders band Fantasy Barbados said it was in the process of conducting a thorough audit to determine who and how much should be compensated.

This follows an outcry against Reifer’s band this year with a number of people who had signed up with the band being critical of her on social media.

However, Reifer said yesterday that out of the 300 revellers the all-inclusive band had on the road, they received only 12 to 15 emails from people who had problems with either parts of their costumes or the entire costumes.

“We are extremely apologetic to those who had issues and those who travelled to Barbados to participate in Grand Kadooment,” she said. But, she could not give a specific time frame as to when the complaints will be compensated. (TSG/MR)
