BRITISH COUPLE James and Ruthie Rock have become the first to tie the knot onboard the Barbados Concorde.
The brief but touching ceremony took place yesterday evening when the newly-weds said “I do” while in the aisle of the supersonic jet.
The event was organised by the Barbados Concorde Experience and GCG Events.
Operations supervisor for both entities, Marcus Arthur, said there was a definite resurgence of interest in people wishing to get married not only in Barbados, but on the Concorde, but the Rocks were ahead of the curve.
As for the groom, he said both he and his blushing bride had a love of aeroplanes and, after a recent tour of the Concorde during a holiday, they knew it was the perfect spot to get hitched. (CA)
