THE SAND has been found.
Now it’s just a matter of getting it here.
Barbados Hockey Federation (BHF) president Mark St Hill is still optimistic the new turf will be laid before yearend after revealing his organisation finally found the right type of sand to use with the artificial surface.
“We’re working with the BOA [Barbados Olympic Association] and the Ministry of Sports to get the sand in as we’ve actually now found the correct match of sand because there was a certain grain of sand required and now we’ll be getting that out of Florida,” said St Hill. (JM)
