BREXIT HAS NOT yet affected Barbados’ tourism sector.
And Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy is set to head a Barbadian tourism task force that will travel to Britain to ensure it remains that way.
News of this came yesterday from Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) chief executive officer (CEO) William Griffith who explained the organisation had continuously been monitoring the situation and its possible fallout.
“There has been significant commentary within the media on the potential impact it may have on our tourism product as the [United Kingdom] is our no. 1 source market,” Griffith told members of the media and tourism officials at the Savannah Beach Hotel. (AD)
