NIFCA London bound

THE NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) is ready to break away from the 166-square-mile boundary that is Barbados.

And in a few weeks, ten NIFCA performing arts award winners will journey to London to perform at the Museum of London Docklands’ annual Family Festival.

Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley yesterday announced the launch of this, the inaugural NIFCA Ensemble during a press conference at the ministry headquarters, Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael.

“I’m very excited about this because for some time, I have been asking the NCF to look at NIFCA in a completely different light,” Lashley told the gathering of performing artistes and cultural officers. (AD)
