YUH GAWH BE KIDDIN’: A strange wedding table

YUH SEE A WEDDING, a wedding is a serious ting and not just cause it is two people joining lives permanently, but because it is a melting pot of almost every personality you can think of. Maybe that is why the seating arrangements does give people so much stress – study it.

At every wedding you can always find specific types of people. There is always that one person who does be real hungry at the reception, so what dem does try to do is bribe de servers to see if dem could get a “sample” before it is time for food to be served.

Then there is de other type that does just go to criticise everything ’bout de wedding, talking ’bout “wait, she wear white? She bold enough. De Lord don’t like liars.” Dis type does really urk me cause half of the time dem ain’t married or their wedding wasn’t even half as good.

Let us all not forget de ones who like to start the party before everybody else. That time the bridal party ain’t even reach the reception but dem at the bar ordering alcohol so as to “help the food go down.”

So now it means that they are talking louder than everyone else and you can guarantee that they will be a part of the unforgettable wedding moments.

Following close behind is that one person who does forget that other people have to eat too so dem taking out three spoons of everything that in front of them. Mind you dem gine sit down, eat all, belch and then have the audacity to ask for seconds. If you doubt me, ask me.

However, if the wedding is anything like the one which I attended last weekend, there will be a table of people that won’t be at every wedding, but if you are blessed enough to experience their presence then you get to see greatness.

This table was full of theatre people, so that meant that they had no shame and little to no behaviour.

The bride and groom went around to each table and were quietly congratulated, but as soon as they reached the theatre table the people burst out in a big chant, complete with actions.

Though many would have found that strange and a bit much, in my world of theatre it was beautiful, fun and a form of respect.

So if yuh want a theatre table at yuh wedding just link me, I got you covered.
