THE BARBADOS LIGHT & Power is working to restore electricity to households and businesses across the island.
The power outage occurred after 6 a.m. and affected residents in several parishes.
In a post on its Facebook page BL&P said customers in parts of St Philip and parts of Bridgetown – Fontabelle, the Deep Water Harbour, and Swan Street – have been restored.
Some customers in St George are also receiving service again.
“The team is working on restoring all customers as safely and as quickly as possible,” the utility company said.
No reason has been given for the outage. (PR/NB)
