THE CHILD CARE BOARD and the police will be investigating a shocking picture that was posted on social media yesterday showing two children on a bed restrained and tied with strips of cloth.
The photo, along with an accompanying story, was posted on a popular blog and immediately drew angry responses from many people who called on the two entities to investigate.
In the picture, a boy and a girl, both of whom appear to be under the age of ten, are on the bed together. The boy’s feet are tied with a piece of cloth that extends to his two hands, which are also tied behind his back. He sits on the bed crying while a little girl lies next to him, her hands and feet also bound by the white strips of cloth.
The person who submitted the information to the blog wrote: “Can you believe in these modern days parents believe that tying up children is a form of punishment!?” (MB)
