Brittons Hill drug accused remanded

A ST MICHAEL man has been remanded to prison after appearing in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today on drug charges.

David Alexander Maynard, 45, of Gunsite Road, Brittons Hill was arrested and charged on August 31 on charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation.

He was not required to plead to the indictable charges and was remanded until September 30.

A search warrant was executed at Maynard’s residence on Wednesday and 444 cannabis plants were found under cultivation. They ranged from seedlings to 20 feet tall and have an estimated street value of $244 000. (PR/NB)
