THERE WILL BE no moment of silence on September 3 to reflect on the Campus Trendz tragedy as has been done for the last five years.
Attorney-at-law and activist David Comissiong at a Press conference at the Clement Payne Centre, Crumpton Street, The City yesterday said the usual location was unavailable.
“Ever since that fateful event in 2010, the persons who constitute the September 3rd Foundation have held a public commemoration each year in National Heroes Square to remember not just the six ladies who lost their lives in the Campus Trendz tragedy, but other victims of violent crimes as well.
“We did apply to use Heroes Square as per usual, but were informed another organisation had gotten ahead of us and secured the venue. . . (RA)
