Breakthrough in Andre Hinds’ shooting death

POLICE ARE REPORTING a “major breakthrough” regarding the shooting death of Andre Hinds of Northumberland, St Lucy.

Public relations officer Acting Station Sergeant Roland Cobbler said a number of people are assisting with the investigation.

Hinds, 42, died as a result of gunshot injuries sustained during an altercation with armed men who broke into his home on the night of August 25. (PR/NB)
