Family praying for shot teen

THE FAMILY OF a teenaged boy who was shot in the head is waiting with bated breath while praying for him to make a full recovery.

Sixteen-year-old Darren Taylor is now in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) after undergoing surgery following the shooting at Wotton, Christ Church.

The teenager was one of several victims in Thursday’s two gun attacks; the other left 46-year-old Ricardo “Rick Rick” Bryan dead in Warrens, St Michael. Police have not made any arrests in either incidents and Bryan’s death is the 13th murder for the year.

Taylor’s relatives said he was in the Intensive Care Unit following the shooting at a “promotional jam” in the wee hours of Thursday. Three other men were also shot during the incident.
