WITH A SECOND-PLACE podium finish in a Virginia pro surfing contest under her belt, Chelsea Roett is turning her eyes to the Olympics.

The Barbadian’s success came in the Women’s Pro event at the East Coast Surfing Championships at Virginia Beach, Virginia, last weekend.

Roett is now ranked just outside the top 50 female surfers in the World Surfing League (WSL) women’s ranking.

“With surfing just recently being included in the Olympic Games scheduled for 2020 in Tokyo, I have set another goal: to qualify for the Olympics and to represent Barbados at this high level. This would be a dream come true for me,” she told the SATURDAY SUN.
