Griffith slams misuse of parking spaces for disabled

THE CONTINUED INDISCRIMINATE use of parking spaces designated as only for differently abled drivers by able-bodied persons is being condemned by a community activist.

Social worker and retired executive director of the Barbados Family Planning Association, George Griffith, has lambasted the practice.

“In my view, one of the most blatant and unconscionable acts on the part of the driving public is the abuse of designated parking spaces for the disabled/differently abled drivers in Barbados today,” he said.

“Designated parking spaces at supermarkets, banks (ATMs), malls and every parking facility which provide designated parking are disregarded by shameless able-bodied drivers with impunity day in and day out. . .”  (ES)
