Deacons win easily, Progressive upset

VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE KINGS Flow Deacons predictably started the new Goddard Enterprises Limited Division 1 season with an easy win on Wednesday night.

However, the knockout champions Barbados Bearings and W. Gittens Landscaping Progressive suffered the first upset of the season when the men took to the court at the Bond at Kensington Oval.

Deacons welcomed All Stars to top flight volleyball with a 25-18, 25-18, 25-16 victory.

Captain Kyle Browne and middle player Jerald Johnson enjoyed a great game against the new boys who lacked the attacking or defending personnel to worry Deacons. (KB)
