Pakistan draw first blood against Windies

PAKISTAN BEAT WEST Indies by nine wickets today in the first of three T20 matches in Dubai.

Set 116 to win, the Pakistanis lost just one wicket en route to reaching the target with 34 balls to spare.

Babar Azam and Khalid Latif finished not out on 55 and 34, respectively while  Samuel Badree claimed the lone wicket of Sharjeel Khan for 22.

Sent in to bat, West Indies were only able to make 115 in 19.5 overs although Dwayne Bravo scored 55 from 54 balls.

The only other West Indies batsman to make it into double figures was Jerome Taylor who scored 21.

Imad Wasim was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers, grabbing 5 for 14. (NB)
