GOVERNMENT HAS COMMISSIONED an engineering and geological study of White Hill, St Andrew, Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley said.

He is asking residents of the area, which is prone to land slippage, to bear with the authorities until the investigation is completed. Their daily lives have been in turmoil since the breakaway of the village road in November 2014.

In an interview with the SUNDAY SUN, Lashley revealed that the company EEC had been retained to conduct the study of the road and surrounding areas, and has already commenced logistical work.

EEC did a similar geological study at Arch Cot, Brittons Hill, St Michael, after an apartment building caved in on August 26, 2007, taking the lives of a family of five. (BA)
