THE BARBADOS FIRE SERVICE made a clean sweep of the 2016 Endurance Challenge, which formed part of activities for Fire Service Week.

Defending champion Rodney Griffith, who has two wins at the regional level, took his fourth title this afternoon by finishing the obstacle course in three minutes, four seconds.

He was followed by his colleague from the airport station Terry McCarthy who made it in 3 minutes, 29 seconds, while Nicholas Collymore from the host Bridgetown station placed third in 3 minutes, 46 seconds.

For the second consecutive year officers from the Barbados Defence Force were invited to participate in the challenge, but none of the three who entered finished in the top spots. (YB)
