THE BARBADOS METEOROLOGICAL Services is warning that the worse is still to come.
Director Cammie Burke says that while the centre of the bad weather shifted to the north of the island, there are pockets of heavy convection to the east of the island.
The convection was so heavy he says it was preventing a hurricane hunter from entering.
Burke also warns that the heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the island any time after midday. (HLE)
