Fogging Schedule October 3 to 6

THE VECTOR CONTROL UNIT of the Ministry of Health continues its fogging programme aimed at reducing the mosquito population on the island next week.

On Monday, the team will be in St James spraying Holetown, 1st and 2nd Street Holetown, Jamestown Park, Sunset Crest, Hibiscus Avenue, Cemetery Lane, Mayhoe Avenue, Laynes Road, Paynes Bay, Chapel Road, Clarke’s Road, Appleby Gardens, and the environs.

On Tuesday, the exercise will continue in St Peter in Bakers, and in St James in Sion Hill with Avenues, Lancaster, Risk Road, Berbice, Jordan’s Road, Prospect Road, Prospect Ridge and Crusher Site Road.

Black Rock in St Michael will also be fogged on that date.

The team will target districts in St George and Christ Church on Wednesday. In St George, Charles Rowe Bridge, Glebe Land, Rowans Park, Walkers Park, Thorpes Cottage, and surrounding areas will be fogged.

Another team will spray Maxwell Road, Deal Gardens, Maxwell Coast Road, Dover Gardens, Dover with Avenues, St Lawrence, St. Lawrence Gap, and neighbouring districts in Christ Church.

On Thursday, October 6, areas to be fogged in St. Thomas will be Rock Hall Development, Content, Porey Spring with Avenues, Spring Farm, Dunscombe, Canefield, Farmers, and the environs.

Also on Thursday, another team will be in St. Michael spraying Eagle Hall, Roxy Avenue, Dash Gap, Bank Hall with Avenues, Quarry Road, Kew Road, Military Road, Pasture Road, Promenade Road and the environs.

Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. (BGIS)
