Eye-opener for good Samaritans

THE WATER WOES of St Joseph residents brought out two more good Samaritans yesterday.

And they were aghast at the situation they found.

“You don’t know how ridiculous it is until you start doing it. And you see people wasting water in other places,” said Edwin Harper, a truck driver at Rotherley Construction.

Even the smallest bottle of water was greeted with effusive thanks and praise.

Harper and his friend Sherwin Hunte had embarked on a two-man journey yesterday to bring some relief to some of the residents in the water-scarce parish. (HLE)
