RELIEVED AT escaping without injuries Daryl Clarke jumped on the roof of his damaged Honda Civic to celebrate victory on a day of thrills and spills as the curtain came down on the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) BRC Winter Sprint at Luke Hill on Sunday.

It was a joint event with the Motoring Club Barbados Inc. (MCBI) and Clarke emerged unhurt after an accident on the final run, of the day on the long and sometimes twisty course.

Recalling the events of the final run he said he had gone into a gravel area on the course and that upset the handling of the car.

He lost control and the impact destroyed much of the floor and left side of the car.  (TT)
