BHL Boost

ALMOST 30 JOBS have been created at Banks Breweries, and it is not thanks to Banks.

After being forced to restructure its operations earlier this year, resulting in some job losses, Banks Holdings Limited’s (BHL) management is smiling at the boost the company is getting from the bottling of Presidente beer, a product of BHL’s parent company, AmBev.

The news was confirmed yesterday by BHL chief executive officer Richard Cozier who told the DAILY NATION the rapidly opening up socialist economy of Cuba had created an increasingly lucrative new market for BHL.

“The beer is going to two markets – the Dutch Caribbean of Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, and St Maarten, with the bulk going to Cuba.” (GE)
