COME SAIL on the wings of love with Jeffrey Osborne, rock out to Marcus Anderson and dance along to MRBlood for a weekend of authentic jazz and soul.

Son of the soil Elan Trotman, based in the United States is back with his annual Elan Trotman’s Barbados Jazz Excursion.

With an entourage of musicians flying into the island, along with over 300 visitors who made the trip just for this weekend Elan promises many surprises.

The Crane will be the venue tonight for the first concert, then they move to the Barbados Concorde Experience tomorrow, and on Sunday it is back to The Crane stage.

Highlight of the event will be legendary R&B vocalist Jeffrey Osborne (You Should Be Mine, On the Wings of Love) tomorrow.

Following his extensive tour season in North America, this “home stop” show is always a highlight for Elan who is a musical ambassador, promoting his homeland everywhere he goes.

“During these tours I am always happy to promote Barbados as the place to visit, so I am excited about this initiative to have fellow artistes and fans join me in Barbados for this unique experience,” said Trotman.

Barbadians can sing along with Osborne and enjoy great jazz renditions tomorrow at the Barbados Concorde Experience which will also feature Peter White, Brian Simpson, Althea Renee and Marcus Anderson along with Trotman.

In addition to taking advantage of the weekend’s sumptuous jazz offerings, guests will also get a taste of Barbados’ attractions and activities developed over the past 50 years, including golf at Apes Hill and Barbados Golf Club, Atlantis Submarine, Jeep Safari, Jammin Catamaran, Mount Gay Distillery, Pirates Cove and Harrison’s Cave.

On Monday there will be a golf charity event at Apes Hill to cap the tour. (PR/NS)
