THIS WAS one Julian “Michael Jackson” White road tennis thriller that was off the wall as it turned into a slaughter.

After his opponent Shibbir Greenidge had a good thing going and looked like he wanted to be starting something when he won the second set to tie the match, White rocked his world with a “sow”.

The upshot was White “moonwalking” Greenidge 21-18, 21-23, 21-8 when the Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperators Credit Union’s Monarchs of the Court Round of 16 matches ended at the Flow courts, Wildey on Friday night.

After surrendering a close first set, Greenidge benefited from a couple of contentious calls in the second while showing more aggression as he unlocked his treasure chest of shots. (EZS)
