THE PROTECTION OF the rights and welfare of two Rastafarian children at the centre of the legal case that has now shot to national attention must be the priority after their parents were found guilty of failing to register them for school.
Child rights advocate Felicia Dujon said both the physical and psychological welfare of the two children, aged 12 and nine, must be considered.
As such, she believed there must be an intervention to ensure that these rights are safeguarded.
Dujon weighed in on the matter, giving her thoughts given her professional background as a child advocate.
This issue has engaged and sparked public debate for the last few weeks. (CM)
