THE RESIDENTS OF HILLABY, St Andrew, know about rainwater harvesting.
They have no choice but to practise it every day, for without the rain they would not be able to bathe, wash and do simple household chores.
As a result, they are sending a strong message to Minister of Agriculture and Water Resource Management Dr David Estwick: don’t blame the lack of water in the parish on any drought.
They lamented that yesterday was a week since a Barbados Water Authority (BWA) tanker had topped up their containers. It’s been many more since they actually had a steady flow of water coming from their taps. (HLE)
