THE KING OF SWING has done it again.

Darian King has himself a new career high ranking, moving up the Emirates ATP ladder to 130 just one week after passing Martin Blackman to become the highest ever rated Barbadian tennis player on tour.

The 24-year-old baseliner jumped five spots from his previous best of 135 after advancing to last week’s quarter-finals of the Stockton Challenger in California.

“Reaching 130 is huge and I am really stoked about it because originally my goal was to get into the top 150 in the world by the end of the year,” said King in a telephone interview with NATIONSPORT. (JM)
