IT MAY HAVE started with ‘one camera, a tripod and a good idea’, but the final product resulted in Once Upon A Time in Ichirouganaim being one of the biggest winners at the annual Barbados Visual Media Awards Friday night.

The fantasy, action adventure was named the Best Feature Film, and also scooped the People’s Choice, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Design awards at the Frank Collymore Hall.

It was executive director Graham Cumberbatch’s first film project, and though he expected success, he did not anticipate to win in some categories.

“It all came together pretty much from voluntary work. I just want to state some challenges, finance, resources, but we made it happen,” he said. (WILLCOMM)
