THE BARBADOS Water Authority informs the public that due to exceedingly low water levels at its Golden Ridge Reservoir, scheduled shut down of its operations will commence on Friday from 11 p.m. to 4a.m. and will continue daily until further notice.
As a result, residents in St Thomas, St George, St John and St Philip will experience low water pressure and outages.
The affected areas will include: Hopewell, Vaucluse, Content, Rock Hall, Shop Hill, Christie Village, Cane Garden Heights, Proute, Strong Hope; Applewaites, Locust Hall, Bournes Village, Paradise, Jericho, Market Hill, St. Helens, Belair, Bridge Cot, Cottage Grove Development, Cottage Retreat, Newbury, 2nd Avenue Newbury, Todds; Tappy Pond, Wilson Hill, Sherbourne, Claybury, Cherry Grove, Pool, Four Roads, Lemon Arbor, Gall Hill, Carters, Glebe Land, Clifton Hall, Edge Cliff, Church View, Newcastle, Foster Hall, Messiah Street, Colleton, Coach Hill, Sargeants Street, Pothouse, Society, Church View;  Dodds, Moncrieffe, Parish Land  and neighbouring districts.‎
During the hours of disruption, affected residents are therefore advised to store water for domestic use.
The Barbados Water Authority apologises for the inconvenience and assures its valued customers that it is doing everything possible to rectify the problem. (PR)
