Student for Man City stint

A 15-YEAR-OLD St Leonard’s student will have an opportunity to enhance his skills on the field of the Manchester City Football Club in England.

Dishon Howell is the lone Barbadian selected to be a part of a 12-member team from the Caribbean to undergo training at the English Premier League club under the Digicel Kickstart programme.

The programme started in April and involved 14 young Barbadian footballers, from whom three were selected to travel to Jamaica to prove themselves among their regional counterparts.

Howell said he was pleased to be chosen for the programme, which would take place over the period of one week beginning today. (RG)
